Today I have the pleasure to show you something we have been working on for a long time - the GMC scale generator!

Hopefully this tool will make it easier for you to learn/create new scales and share them on our forum.

This is only a first version - so feedback is welcome (as always!)

Kris,
Love this.. Outside of the display of scales I really like how you can freely click on fret locations and see the notes..great for learning the notes on the fret board.

Excellent addition to the site!

Gary

awesome.. thats gonna help a whole lot

There is one thing though.. try selecting the C minor pentatonic.. Box 2 is missing because it extends past 12th fret..

Yes we have already got requests for a larger fretboard, perhaps the next version will allow you to toggle between 12/24 frets! smile.gif

If you want to learn all the boxes of the C minor pentatonic scale - you will find that the first and last box of our scale generator actually borders to the "missing" box, so if you learn those two you should see that the box is in between. (no information is lost) I agree though that in this case it would be better if we had a bigger fretboard.

Cool!
I'd say that's an amazing tool for instructors to unify our chats for the lessons. In that way will be like a uniform for scale charts smile.gif

Cool Kris!

I was just using the B minor scale, but it seems like the G note on the 12th string is missing somehow, or is it just me?
