Noskill - Bogdan Radovic - Ska Walking Bass, Bass REC |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Trying to get into the groove of the song. Also, this lesson just sounds cool. I mean, how many of us have jammed to an accordion? Rhythm placement 4.5
Cleanness 4.5 Feel 4.5 Posture 4.5 Sound 4.5 Very solid take. Many notes were too weak comparing to the other ones with harder attack. I agree that you need to have some dynamics but on bass guitar, and especially with this kind of groove, those notes should be almost equaly hearable. Compressor is the unit that helps you get them all out "punchy". Well done -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Rhythm placement 4.8
Cleanness 5 Feel 5 Posture 4.5 Sound 4.5 For higher grade in Rhythm placement , groove should be just a little tighter, in some parts you are going a little in front of the pocket. When you feel the urge to hurry, try to lay off and play "slower" on purpose. You will feel it when you are playing in the pocket. For higher grade in posture I would like to see you alternate your picking fingers more, alternating technique is not a strict must but there are some fast parts you are playing with only one finger and you can't keep up so sound gets weaker. Distribute the work load to both picking fingers. For higher mark in sound, try playing dynamically consistent. There are some quiet notes due to less force applied when picking. Idea at first is to have consistent volume when playing, after that you can experiment with dynamics to get more feel. Using compressor will smooth out your sound, but you should practice it anyway. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
