Maybe try searching for Arpeggios instead of chord tones. They essentially mean the same thing, so your search will show you lessons on that subject, just with a different title than chord tones. Hi mate, a good way to understand and practice "following the chords" is studying "Chord melody". That's how my guitar teacher taught it to me. Here you will find some lessons that give you tools to be able to learn it. Then you just have to apply it over backing tracks.
