OK here's my new take, I can't seem to get this to sound right, the only way it sounds right to my ears is when I find myself bending the new position into one of the Am pentatonic boxes that appears at that same position, not quite sure how I make this sound right.

You did a very good job! I would suggest to start by using G# as a passing note until you will get use to the sound!
