> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate smile.gif I think that you have made a few mistakes out of sheer lack of focus biggrin.gif

- the beginning of the phrase at 0:38 - watch out for the timing
- timing issue at about 01:00 and 01:05
- thee guitar seems to be a little out of tuning smile.gif

I will give you a 7 just because you posted the take without taking the time to correct these although I know you know about them tongue.gif C'mon make me push the 10 button!

Cosmin

Hi Coffeeman! As Cosmin said, the main problem here is timing. He already marked the exact seconds that have this issue so review this parts and practice them over metronome. The section that starts at 00:39 is different in rhythm compared to the original lesson so you should re-check the tabs / slow videos.

Keep on working hard! smile.gif

I would only add that this kind of playing needs a lot less gain because all the flavour there is from playing very I mean veeeery hard smile.gif Remember that most of those guys started when there was no "pure" distorted channel smile.gif Most of the drive came from very hard playing and huge ampo volume (power amp natural distortion). It demands a lot more from the right hand and a lot more precise muting job frome the left hand. Try to make some experiments smile.gif
