So within a few weeks a guy is coming to listen to my band play and decide whether he want to hook us up with some gigs and a demo. We are a melodic death metal band and where I live I don't know if he has ever heardany death metal at all, also the people around here don't like metal but theres enough I think. Blah, I'm rambling, I don't even have an exact date when to expect the guy and I'm already so nervous.

Anyway in my old band we barely ever got close to playing anywhere so this is a really big thing for me, hopefully he will like us and I guess if he doesn't then we will have to work harder tongue.gif. IF your religious pray for me cuz I'ma need it

Good luck mate ! I would suggest having more than usual rehearsal sessions with your band to get it tight..Once we gets to listening to you , just relax and give your best shot..He will count many factors not just the playing...He needs to see you have good personalities and that you are good to work with..

Good luck mate! You should have a band meeting to discuss about that date, make sure everybody in the band know what this means for you, and you should all rehearse a lot, and look good on that night.

So he came today and he wanted us to do a cover as well originals so we put the most baby easy cover together...Breaking The Law XD

By the time we finished that one and an original he said he didn't need to hear any more and we were awesome,..

YES!!!!!!! FINALLY! tongue.gif

We played another song and he said we made guitar hero look like pansy stuff as we are pretty heavy on the solos haha.

So I'm really excited. We are going to get a press kit together and then hes gonna start booking shows for us, he's a really cool guy so he should be easy to work with too.

Thanks for all the support guys!

Great news man!! I knew everything would go well!! Make a good press kit (cd recordings , biography , band pictures, contact card and everything)..I would suggest investing some money into this kit ,like printing pictures and cd cover in a photo/print shop for example..It will make it look much more professional and increase chances to get a deal significantly.Do every detail of the content of the promo kit with care (write a biography by standards etc) and possibly print art on the CDs surface too.You want it to be clear and informative as well as good looking..Also if you haven't shoot some professional looking photos of the band - its good time to do so! You can do it in a photography studio..Doesn't need to be an expensive one..One group and few individual band members photos should do the trick.Just pay attention what are you wearing on those photos , you want to go for a certain style (getting rid of band t-shirts is a good idea) smile.gif
