No, not sharing a band biggrin.gif

Anyone else suffers from this? I've had it since childhood and its not something one can get used to sad.gif

For me its either not getting enough sleep, too much staring at the computer or not eating well. I usually notice its going to happen 3-4 hours before it gets bad so taking a painkiller and go to bed but it can catch me offguard rarely.

Last night was terrible. Again felt it but the pain increased very suddenly, my guess is today the weather is hot+cloudy and didn't rain yet (pressure). When I can't get the painkiller on time or can't find one for any reason after a while I have to "empty my stomach", then it passes long enough for me to sleep it off.

In the healing process right now which is like a really bad hangover, feels unfair as I didn't have any fun last night smile.gif

Oh man I feel for you. I very them occasionally now but as a child I had them for 5 days at a time. In bed, curtains closed, bucket by the bed for being sick.

I had a bad one the other Saturday, worst one I've ever had but it went by late evening. I was squeezing my head to stop the pain, I felt really really sick like travel sickness. I was climbing the walls with the pain. At one point I got my wife's strap from her dressing gown and tied it around my head. Awful.

Stress fluctuation can cause them too, my adult ones are usually on a Saturday, I used to put it down to ale and wine but that last one was during a month of prohibition.

Hope you feel better soon buddy .

Thanks guys smile.gif

A mixture of fruits, a light sandwich and not smoking helped me recover better today while resting. Thankfully I didn't have an urgent job today and shifted things for tomorrow.

This is interesting for me; the longest I never had a migrane was when doing my compulsory military service. Only had 1 migrane attack in almost 6 months. My daily routine was very active without much sleep (+the stress) but was fed very well. My guess is the robotic military routine didn't require to use my brain much biggrin.gif

@phill66; If you can get pass the migrane without painkillers thats great! but keep in mind if you feel a bad one comming again even the lightest painkillers (ones prefered my pregnant woman when needed) can be very helpful (muscle relaxacion pills can also work)

When I get a bad one NOTHING helps, I tried doubling up on the most powerful Migraine relief available over the counter and it didn't work sad.gif

When I was a child I went to hospital for many weeks for many tests, they gave me some special painkillers and a tablet to take every day for two years. That fixed the regular attacks but not the horrendous occasional ones sad.gif Nother relieves them, I feel like I need a head sized vice when I get them.

Cheers

My cousins wife had a similar treatment a few years ago, she said nothing happened during the the treatement as soon as it ended the migrane attacks happened again. So I guess still no cure is found for it sad.gif

Also my neighbour regularly had very bad attacks, she used very strong stuff that caused her not to leave the house for 2 to 3 days.

Although the pain is horrible, I'm against using such strong stuff. I can say though trying different lighter pain killers in time worked for me, there are 2-3 brands that worked better for me than some others.

We can thank our lucky Stars? we don't get cluster headaches. They are also called "suicide headaches” because they are supposed to be the maximum amount of pain a human can endure.
