It looks and sounds great.... but i have my doubts if it's going to be able to deliver what it promises.

Very nice all-in-one gaming solution. I hope it will work well. They can offer lots of different payment options depending what you wanna play so that is not the big problem. Biggest problem is getting it to work without errors - we'll see how it turns out

I don't think it's going to work. At least not in the way they describe here: http://www.onlive.com/service/how_onlive_works.html. Considering the current internet performance (in terms on latency and bandwith) I don't think that you'd get a reasonably fast response. The whole thing reminds me a bit of The Phantom. Anyway let's see what happens.

Its an interesting concept! And if they can iron out the bandwidth and latency issues this can be an ultimate console!

I agree with 29a. It's hard to believe there won't be latency issues, specially on first person shooter games, where each ms counts.
If I understand it correctly the game runs on a remote server and sends the "video" like a stream, if you don't download or install anything. That will require a huge amount of badwith on their side (that's doable), but also an amazing ping for it to work. Plus it has to be responsive to the user controls... if the servers are too far away it won't be fast enough for certain kind of games, although it could work well for rol playing/platforms. It's really interesting though, I'll keep an eye on it. -------------------- Guitars:
