Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Rancid Roots by Adrian Figallo

And another rec take, this time I recorded this cool, punky lesson by Adrian, using my Ibanez, GR 4 and Reaper. Christian

Yo Christian cool.gif

What a rocking take ! It's got the attitude, the rhythm and the tone... wink.gif

Only slight imperfections were that the bends at 0:50 need to be more purposeful, there were a bit too short and not quite full enough. Changes between power chords can be made tighter by staying on the chords a little longer before shifting (but this will naturally get better with time anyway) smile.gif

Definitely a victorious take \m/

Great job man! smile.gif Very cool performance, and playing. Some small problems, specially towards the end, the last chord kinda went out detuned, perhaps guitar, perhaps your fretting hand mismatched the fret or something. But, it's all good, because of these little problems, I grade 9.

Cool performance! nice job!

I would say that your sound and tone is great and appropiate, also the riff is very well learned,

I would still work on sounding as tight as possible, try hitting the strings harder as you would on a drum!

hey man! this is a rocker take!! I like it! As the other instructors said you need to adjust a bit your bending in the rocker licks to get a perfect take. Keep on rocking! smile.gif
