Just something I'm really interested in.

I myself like almost every style on the list, but to me nothing compares with Neo-Classical metal, It's my passion and If I would ever become a famous guitarist, I would like it to be because of Neo-classical.

So share your thoughts about the style most close to your heart, please. smile.gif

I went with the last choice, Although If I had to choose, it would be Metal, not any specific genre of Metal, Just all of it.

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

I like to think that mostly what comes out of my fingers is a mix of blues/rock/metal.

I like something with a cool groove, with some interesting rythmic stuff going on- i dont like 4000BPM with 32nd note triplets all the time- but i think throwing a fast run in to something sounds really sweet. I try and mix things up so that my playing doesnt sound too standard/boring or stale.

Well mines would be prog metal as I like pretty much all of them and incorporate it all together.

So if you had prog then I'd choose that smile.gif

I don't have a main style, I like to play some metal riffs and after that I would play some Funk, it often depends on my mood which style I want to play.
There just something in every style I like, so I can't decide which answer to choose wink.gif

Mine probably would be neo-classial metal, mostly the shred lead parts.
But I also play a lot acoustic guitar, but I mostly like to play classical pieces with acoustic ( just like yngwie ^^ )

Great Tuubsu.
I choose fusion but that means a fusion of many styles, I like to play my guitar. For me the soul is blues or jazzy or rock...not the genre...I hope you understand me. Just play, and if you like to play only wrong note on a chord, go and play them!! Music is freedom!

I there should have been multiple choices then...

Actually, I'm not sure if I phrased my question a little off, what I meant to ask was, If you were/are a world wide known guitarist, what would you/your band play Mainly. Like Led Zeppelin I mean, They played MAINLY rock n roll, but they had a lot of bluesy songs and some other genre tries as well...

Yeah, Danilo I understand what you mean. I don't myself for example want to limit my self in anyway with the "traditions/rules" of Neoclassical for example, I just like to give traditional names for the music, If I come up with a bluesy or jazzy lick for a song I'm not throwing it in the dumpster because it's not neoclassical.

I thought everyone would have ONE which would rise above all others... But thats how you learn.... by asking
