BUY IT! Best solid state amp out there, IMHO. Great tones, and easy to use.

All the models above the 75 watt yes. i have the 30 (almost too big for my bedroom), and it does not have the USB plug.
If you can, get the Sanpera footswitch, it allows you too store 400 blink.gif presets.

get the tube versions (the 60 or 120 watt)

they sound better and are louder

ALSO

for the amp to be worth it, the foot switch is a must, it doesnt just add presets, it also allows you to control effect parameters and adds the wah wah effect....i wish my amp came with something like this sad.gif

I've never tried it myself, but it looks like a good amp smile.gif

It looks like a good amp, but as Marc said, aim for the tube version if you can, and get the footswitch if you are planning to do gigs with it.

The Tube 60 seem like a useful amp, best of both worlds with both tubes and USB/headphones, loop, tuner. And it'll be good for gigs too.

It's loaded with digitaleffects and amp modeling and I think it's excellent to start with one of these incase you're not sure wether you want a Fender, Marshall, Mesa or whatever. This will give you a taste of how they would sound, and together with effects.
Maybe in a few years you have grew fond of a certain amp model that you will go after the real deal

Its a good amp and should do well on gigs (with footswitch). But if you can get the tube version, do it - it will sound much better! smile.gif

Thanks for all the input, I've been looking at maybe getting one of these myself! I was thinking about the 75 or 100 with the full Sanpera Controller!

Spent a little bit of time with these amps at the London Guitar show, their stand was more or less opposite ours, I thought it was a really interesting and very cool/universal sounding amp.

The demonstrator also recomended the tube versions, the Sanpera footswitch for live situations is an absolute must, if you get one let us know how you get on with it, I`d be interested in your review of it smile.gif

Alright, thanks for responding smile.gif So the PEAVEY VYPYR TUBE 60 is better then the PEAVEY VYPYR 100? It realy have to be good on gigs and loud ofc. And i wasent realy thinking about the pedal but, ye i think i can grab one of those aswell smile.gif What cant i do on a gig if i dont have the pedal? i just need to be able to turn dist off and on, i never change the settings when i have the one i want. So i basicly use just one setting but i turn on and of the dist, is that possible without the pedal?

Sorry for my spelling >.<

I think the amp gives you four fully editable channels which has buttons on the front of it to access them, I would say if your playing a song "clean" and need to switch mid song to crunch or solo boost etc then you`ll defo need a foot controller, from what I gather the foot controller really opens up a lot more features of the amp.

tube amps will always be louder than solid state amps

a 60 watt tube amp will blow you away, you could play most venues with a 60 watt tube amp, but will have some trouble (maybe) with 100 watt solid state

thats ok gabbez, the amp is obviously the most important part!

get the amp, and just save for the pedal, also, you can try ebay or craigslist for a used one. if you are like me (a poor hungry college student) buying used stuff is the way to go.

have fun with your amp!

im thinking about getting one myself because i love the versatility, and the fact that its a modeling amp that runs on tubes is awesome! im not trying to emulate a sound, i just want to have many different ones at my disposal for recording since my live play has come to a hault!

Just a small correction, they are not louder, the loudness remains the same. The perception of loudness is increased with tube amps cause you can play them cranked, and they will sound sweet. If you crank the (similar priced) solid state amp it will not sound sweet at all, and will deteriorate the complete sound picture on stage.

Good grief, a 60 watt tube amp will be wonderful. My 30 watt (regular Peavey) is already so loud I can't get close to it when it's cranked. smile.gif I've heard nothing but good things about the Vypyrs.

And if you really want to go big sound, 60 watts will easily handle a second cabinet.
