I stumbled across this video searching for Eric Johnson tapes
I was proud of my G-DEC when I first go it
And now that pride has been revived biggrin.gif

I'm pretty sure this product has been reviewed before, so I'll give a brief review of my own:

There is very little I can complain about when it comes to this amp. The ability to quickly change between tones is a valuable convenience. The multitude of tones and options allow for some very interesting combinations, which have really added a bit of a suprise factor in a couple of gigs I personally played.

Cons: The amp is good for small gigs, but for real gigs, the 15 watt mini-beast just cant deliver. I've heard there is a way to run the amp through a cab and run it that way, but I personally have yet to try it. The knob that changes between settings does skip over a few times.

Another downside is a rather disappointing feature. The G-DEC features dual input ports so that you and a buddy can hook up and jam, wether it be two guitars, a singer and guitarist, est, est. The only problem is the amp doesnt pack enough power to support two musicians at the same time. A friend of mine who plays guitar plugged in with me to jam, I could barely hear his harmony over my interlude, which basically dimmed out his part.

Overall, this is a great amp for small gigs and home practice. It is great for improving your improv skills, and the built in metronome / drum machine makes practicing better than ever

5/5 stars! :]

Yeah, I own one too. Rarely use it now - but when I first got it I was amazed by the MIDI backing tracks it had.

Most tracks have drums, bass, and piano....You can adjust the tempo and key of every backing track. Awesome learning tool. Get for learning to improvise.

Highly recommended for beginners!

I have got one too (30 amp version) and only have used it over the Christmas holiday. We then returned to Europe and I was afraid to plug it in since it is not set up for 220 voltage. Looking forward to getting back to 110 so I can try it out now. i would love to hear more experiences with it as I just look at mine lustfully. Playing on a battery operated mini amp is getting old.....What i did see of this amp was great, but I am a new player with limited (but growing skills) tongue.gif, Thanks to all the help I recieved here at GMC.

Seems to be a nice practice amp and may be a nice recording amp.

I have one G.DEC 30. It helps alot if you want to practise with backing tracks, by inserting them into the system, If I could get GMC Backing tracks you know how I would give them use smile.gif. It's good for experiments because it records, overdubs, too bad it isn't for to long.
