Hey Sondre.
I don't mean to step on Kris's toes here... I hear ya. Shredding is one of the goals I will be trying to accomplish. Being a beginner myself I highly recommend mastering these exercises first by the one and only Muris. alternate-workout https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...ernate-workout/ alternate-picking-thirds https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...picking-thirds/ These exercises will show you what exactly where your weeknesses are and how to develop them. One thing I have learned is speed take a while to accomplish. Concentrate on playing correctly first and the speed will come naturally. I know practicing slowly can get boring - why don't you occasionally try the advice given by Marcus Lavendell? Should ease the "boredom load" a little!
