Hey

I have just started practicing speed picking, since I thought I wanted more speed on the right hand. But my question is; how slowly should I start. I know about the "being comfortable" speed, but its so boring. sad.gif Would for exampel increasing the BPM by 1 every be slow enough, or should I go even slower?

Cheers

Hey Sondre.

I don't mean to step on Kris's toes here...

I hear ya. Shredding is one of the goals I will be trying to accomplish. Being a beginner myself I highly recommend mastering these exercises first by the one and only Muris.

These exercises will show you what exactly where your weeknesses are and how to develop them. One thing I have learned is speed take a while to accomplish. Concentrate on playing correctly first and the speed will come naturally.

I know practicing slowly can get boring - why don't you occasionally try the advice given by Marcus Lavendell? Should ease the "boredom load" a little!
