Hey friends! How are you?

I'd like to start a new collab and I'd like to know if you have any ideas...

Would you like a call & response thing? a backing track jam? a full song?

I'm open to suggestions! And it's also welcome if you have a musical idea to be used as the starting point. biggrin.gif

Hey mate nice idea for a new collab 😁

Maybe its nice to choose a style which is less common.
A funk, soul of fusion style collab or something with more complex harmony.
Just a thought 😁

Not sure it will work but might be fun. The link auto plays each track one after the other rather than the full album as one.

I read this post and then came up with this chord progression.

We can use a part of it for jamming.

Of course the key/rhythm etc can be changed if you want.

Im up for just about anything smile.gif These collabs are always fun. it seems like we always have the same folks participating though, and I'd like to see if we could find some sort of creative way to incentivise other blokes to give it a whirl? I don't know, throw them a bone, a prize or something? Just to get those folks are are really to shy to actually play on a track to come out of their shell and join us playing real music smile.gif

Maybe we could have a participation badge, the more folks participate the more points they get and when they reach a certain level of points they get a one month extension on membership.

Cool! We need to find something that is suitable for different levels. Maybe a backing that allows complex stuff but that also works just using one pentatonic scale...

Nice! It sounds like a country rock ballad... any more votes for this style?

Interesting ideas! I also think that it would be cool to see more students joining. Let's think on this.

I still like the idea of a Shadows style, that kind of stuff isn't as easy as it seems, and to get that sound (or similar) isn't easy.

Have you ever listened to that whole album Gab? I think you'd like it.

I'll go for any kind of collab though if I feel inspired cool.gif

Cheers

Phil

How about something along a synthwave type of vibe?
