Toneport Ux2?

I have all the software and other things already, but I have one question: On some peoples recordings, I find that it is extremely offputting as the computer plays what you played a second after you played it. There is a delay between when you play the note and when the computer has recorded it. Can this be avoided at all? Well the latency from what you play until its recorded on the computer is not really good but on the other hand the latency to the monitoring of what you play is next to nothing. It kind of splits the sound sending it to the computer for recording and to the monitors at the same time so you dont have to wait for the computer to hear what you play. The vendor emailed me to tell me that there would be a delay as he was out of stock. He gave me 3 options. -Put the UX1 on back order & wait. -Canel my order -or for $20 extra he would send me the UX2 version so I didn't have to wait. I opted for the UX2!! I have now had it for a total of 3 days & I am totally speechless at how good this thing is!! I certainly have no latency issues that I can hear. About 2 hours ago I recorded the very first lead break I have ever played with backing music. I was working through the tutorial on Ableton & the whole thing took me by surprise. I thought I would just be recording myself on the guitar as a test but the backing track fired up. Luckily I was in key, so I just jammed along for a minute or so. Even though I was unprepared & hit a few bad notes, I can't get over how cool it sounds. This has opened up a whole new avenue of enjoyment for me as far as playing guitar goes. I'm just so stoked I can't put it into words. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to convert the .wav or .aiff files into mp3 so I can dump it into my iPod! I start a second or so after the backing & finish a second late only because I wasn't prepared for it & wasn't paying attention to the progress of the backing track. I have a good idea now of what to expect from the Toneport, especially when putting it aside the other recordings I found on the net.
