From what I understand the JS series are liked by jazz/rockers (think Cold Play but with guitars instead of piano) The volume pots are customized to allow the Highs to remain high even at low volumes. This gives the guitars insane versatility within that clean crisp sound range. Most people like distortion in the world and the JS series super-crispness tends to cause them to be less liked. I played the newest Satch's guitar. To make story short - guitars with 22 frets don't get my attention at all.
