If anyone one cared, or didnt know.

I was perusing the forums over at Andy Timmons website, and word is from Andy's own mouth that sometime this spring they are re-releasing the AT100, officially designated the AT100CL (classic)

This is gonna be a mass production run, the orginal AT100 only had about 300 made. The CL will be same specs as the AT100 but with a different name so the orginals retain their value for collectors.

This is coming directly from Andy himself, the guitar was shown at NAMM, and sometime this spring will be released to the public.

Tentative prices will be around $1300 dollars U.S.

I for one am amp'd about this.

Daniel

Very good news!
This is surely going to be a great instrument and the price seems really fair!
I'm looking forward to putting my hands on this!

Edit.
I think it's already been released, I just found it HERE, although the price tag is slightly more than your tentative $1300!!!!

This sounds to be an awesome guitar. When the AT100 was announced just before the NAMM, i was sure to get one. At thomann it's available for pre-order since a while. The price is over 2000€ and in this price range i would like to try it first. I guess it will need a while to see some in shops .. i was not patient enough and went for another guitar for now, but the AT100 is still a target laugh.gif

That seems like a very good guitar...But I don't think we'll get to see it in the shops here in Serbia some time soon..

I am definately wanting to get a taste of this guitar.

Although if i ever bought one i would make changes to the hardware to more like Andy's own AT100.

For instance his own personal guitar if you look at it, (its hard to see unless you get a tight shot) that he doesnt have a Dimarzio in the Bridge position. Its a Seymour JB.

I have always a been a big fan of Seymour Duncan Pups i have used them almost exclusively.

Also Andy's guitar has a capacitor in on the volume pot so when he rolls off the volume it doesnt lose its high end.

All in all though i am so excited to get a taste of this thing. I have been searching for a year for a AT300 with no luck, by the time you get a bid on ebay its sold.

Hopefully i will have better luck getting my hands on this.

Daniel

Interesting, didn't know it was a Seymour JB, i thought it was this AT1 custom humbucker by dimarzio, but i have seen some video where he had some normal single coils on the neck position as well instead of the cruiser, so i guess he is changing them sometimes.

End of last year was an ebay auction for an original AT100 here in europe (germany). I though this is a one in a lifetime chance and did a last minute bid ... quite high, but it was finally sold for 2900€. Even if this is a lot of money, but it will keep the value i was thinking. That was before the series was announced again...

Im totally stoked about this guitar, but i think it's to expensive cause i checked on thomann.de when the news came about the AT100 and their price is set to 2199 euros which is about 2800 US dollars sad.gif - pretty expensive indeed.
