Um yeah I have a problem. I had a usb plugged into podxt and I had it on a barstool next to where I had the computer. so the pod falls and lands on the plug which is now knocked loose. I unscrewed the back and the solder is broken is broken, I don't know if there is any other damage or if I could maybe get it fixed just by soldering it back on but um, does anyone know is Line 6 has a repair service?

If you've got a blow torch put it on high and just wizz over it VERY quickly. You don't want to burn anything else.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that, maybe someone does electronic repairs? It'll cost next to nothing, but I'm not sure if places even exist that will fix any electronics now days. Best bet, might be a car stereo install place, they will have soldering irons for sure.

Blow torch? Is that a joke or something?

If you take a picture we can tell you if it's easily repairable...

Just solder it back on. It's so easy. Don't use a blow torch as it's far too big. You're not doing any welding lol biggrin.gif Just a small soldering iron and it will be back on in no time smile.gif

no serious guys, you get small torches for soldering (mainly open wire soldering, but they'll do the job). they are like $20.

Solder it back on man, It happened to my M Box, but the USB connector broke, I ordered the USB female conector type B from digikey, removed the old one, and soldered the new one back on, and works fine.

Don't know if Line 6 has a repair service

I don't know what's the deal with the blow torch business, but what I can tell you is - soldering is pretty easy. Read up about it online, test your skills by soldering a few cables together just for practice - then try it out on your pod...
It's a very easy task...

Here's a tutorial I found useful:

Good luck dude

LOL, if a Line 6 rep sees this thread, they will start making metal cases, specialty heads on the case screws and a waver form
