I absolutley love this band. There are no words to describe how much I can relate to the music.
Recently saw them in Concert. The new guy that replaced Steve Perry (Arnel Pineda ) Is absolutley amazing. Sounds almost identical to Steve in everyway. Their new album is out.

It features amazing songs like
After All These YearsNever Walk Away,Change for the Better,

and the band is with the help of Arnel Pineda, still singing classics like Open Arms, Wheel in the Sky,Seperate Ways

So Any Fans biggrin.gif ?

Ahhh Open Arms... takes me back to junior high dances. Oh the memories tongue.gif

Never a big Journey fan but I do like some of their stuff. This would be my fave though.

Journey is a great band. Their drummer can sing like Steve Perry also. Raised on Radio is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Agreed. I love the band. But I do believe he helps make the band what it is. No doubt about it.

I know exactly what you mean. Mine are all into Death Metal and Rap. I can tolerate the Death Metal and everything its just, you need to open your mind to different genres! smile.gif

Sorry for the hypocrisy, but: I agree with what you say about opening ones mind for other genres... But regarding rap; I really, really, really can't stand it tongue.gif

Agreed...what do you think of the album he put out with Hardline back in the early 90's?
It was a chance for him to play some heavier stuff than he did with Journey, and I liked it a lot.

I love them too... Trial by fire is one of my fav records!!
Love the new release too... Pineda is great but wouldnt say he's indentical to Steve Perry... he has great powerful voice and he does an amazing job ofc!! But he is still mising just a bit on that amazing felling that Steve had especaly on ballads and more easier songs... Perry was really shining there!
btw I recomend Perry's For The Love Of Bad Medicine album too... some really great stuff there...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TaSuWUdKCU ... this song!! Can't get enough of it... I really miss bands like that nowdays... or maybe I'm just missing them??? smile.gif

I thought it was a law to like Journey. laugh.gif But seriously I love them, I still have yet to her vocals of the same magnitude as Steve Perry's.
