Does anyone have a Line 6 Tone port GX and can tell me a bit about the quality of the sound you can get with it? I find the price very cheap so i wanted to ask first before i go and buy it.

I use the toneport ux2 for my lessons..Sound quality should be same as with GX version..Its a very easy to use device and you can dial a lot of good tones and most importantly allows you to record with minimum of latency....Of course those are software simulations of amps and everything you get included and they sound like that too.But you can use Mic to record your own amp if you want...It really simplifies the recording process generally.

It's cheap and it sounds great. Same quality as the bigger toneports, but less inputs.

I use Toneport UX1 that has same quality as GX and use it for my lessons, and it serves me well for the time being. For the money you can beat it.

Does the Toneport GX come with cables etc or do you need to buy them seperately,? If so, does it plug into the USB port?

The toneport comes with the USB cabel but you need to have a instrument cable to connect between the tonerport and the guitar.....

Hope that answers you question

I absoultely LOVE my Toneport GX! Make sure you download the latest drivers for the toneport from Line6, as I understand the earlier drivers did not have the great sound that the later ones do. If you have good speakers for your computer, or good headphones I think you will be very happy with the sound!
