Hi,

I practiced Pablos https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...-society-style/ lesson and
made a song afterwards. I've got a cold but I don't think I could sing any better if I wasn't. Hahaha.
Anyway, if you like Black Label Society maybe my song is up your sleeve.
Thanks Pablo for a cool lesson! Drop C is wicked! wink.gif

Guitar is POD X3 so a litte harsh but good enough for a demo track.

[attachment=9886:Antipoli...o_lixom_.mp3]

Lyrics:

Long time in misery
I'm feeling sad for the things I've seen
gun fire to my head
I heard God telling me I'm dead

No, I feel alive
Oh no, I feel alive

I refuse to fall down
I refuse to bow down

Now you say that you pity me
You're telling me what you want from me
Sad day in history
I know another place where you should be

Later,

Jonas

I tried to hide the vocals because i was sooo unhappy with it... I will try to slap myself when I resing this one tomorrow.
I tried to "copy" Zakk Wylde style but I think I sound like CRAAAAAAAAAAAP. Will def. resing it smile.gif

Thanks, I finally get some more groove and relax more when I play. It's important. Also I now often stand up when I record. Not good sitting down and Zakk pinches are much more easy standing up.

Thanks friend!!!! It's you guys who make me keep practicing! Not my neighbours!

Very good track man

Thanks Superize!

About the vocals... If anyone feels like singing on my songs just PM me for an instrumental. It's always good experience to sing and listen to other singers!

Keep playing!

It's not a backing track. I made it from scratch. I programmed the drums using Addictive drums.
Then I recorded the guitars, recorded the bass and finally I tried to sing it...
Someday, I hope I will do a really good song hahaha. Just practicing now these song I upload but
in a few years I'll put more effort in every song I make...

Getting a new tube amp on thursday so that will take my attention for a few weeks. Have to learn
micing cabs and stuff like that... oh ...

Guitar cab mic'ng isnt too hard mate, just get a mate to stick the 57 mic near center cone while your playing and recording then get him to move it around. On playback use the best Mic placement postition

bang in the center is treble zone, while pushing out gives more bass-wont take too long to find the recording sweetspot for your amp

bTW what amp are you getting?

Thanks! I am picking up a Peavey Ultra Plus tube amp. I found it cheap and the service on it was made recently. I have talked to the guys at Eurotubes.net and they have sent me a high-gain retube kit. I'll have that in a couple of days.
I liked the samples I found on the internet so hopefully I'll find the right cab to go with it.
I suppose I'll get some V30's ... don't know which cab yet. Mesa or Marshall I think with V30 speakers.

Later!

I found a Marshall AVT 412 (http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar+Amp/product/Marshall/VS2000+AVT412+412+Cabinet/10/1)

used... He had played on it for 15hours so in good condition. Probably I'll buy it tomorrow and change to V30's.
Maybe I keep 2 stock speakers and put in 2 V30's. I've read somewhere that it can produce a good tone if you do.
I'll record something on Sunday, I'm having my birthday party tomorrow so on saturday... HANG OVER.
