Hey all,
I've been playing a lot of distorted blues lately. My father says to me 'Yeah, great - what do you sound like with NO distortion?'. I was like --- hm, good question. I rarely play clean. What the heck was I thinking? Now my father plays a 60s Gibson 335 through a Fender Delux Reverb with NOTHING else, and he can really make that baby sing. So I've been practicing clean a lot lately, which gives me a new appreciation for gain... Anyways - here are two blues extremes clean and SUPER dirty. Clean = Blues_Improv_Iclean.mp3 ( 2.25MB ) Number of downloads: 642 Dirty = Blues_Improv_II_dirty.mp3 ( 2.32MB ) Number of downloads: 510 Advice and criticism would be awesome. Especially the blues kats here... |

Sounds cool, although I appreciate the dirty version, there is much more 'feel' for me in the clean version. Am not an expert by far, but sometimes I got the feeling that some bends were a bit out of tune.
PS Would you mind sending me the backings, as I would like to have a go at it as well if possible -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong." I like clean version better, although it is still not clean, it's breaking up slightly.

I actually prefer the dirty version. But then I love the gain, the gain is good.
I hear some Gary Moore and Pat Travers in there. -------------------- Live well, and live often!

I liked the clean take better Though it could be a little more "cleaner" ..But the improv was very good! Keep playing clean!
