> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

I came back!!!
It was a couple hard weeks but I did not stop training- solo Tremonti.
It is more difficult place when the second phrase I play one-two-three-one two-three,one-two-three-four-one-two-three-four,one-two-three-one-two-three).
I hope that I will record on this weekend))

About singing.
I tried to do that.
It is unusual, my voice has never changed its tonality) I need more and more practice to
feel the intervals.
I find it very interesting but I need to focus on playing because I have not enough time))
I will do it because this idea lives in my mind now)
I want to learn some new covers which I sent you a couple weeks before.

Cheers)

Hey mate!

Welcome back smile.gif

I understand which phrase that is, I think and my suggestion is to slow it down as much as possible and record it over a metronome click. Send it over afterwards and we can take a look at it and see how the pulse goes actually.

It is very important to understand that in any phrase there is a certain rhythmicity that needs to be followed, in order to make that phrase sound just like in the original recording or like you hear it in your head.

For instance - think of 'Jingle Bells' - if you would only hear the theme in the beginning: 'Ta ta taaa ta ta taaa ta ta taaa ta taaaaaaaaaaaa' (Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way) - without the notes being played, but only a rhythm tapped with a finger against a table, chances are that you would recognize the song, right? Why? Because of the rhythm wink.gif

About singing - take it slowly and it'll come to you smile.gif Mimicking the sounds of notes on the guitar will prove a very good starting point, in getting your ear accustomed to various sounds. Don't rush, as ear training is a long term process. But in the mean time, please send me that little phrase in the solo smile.gif

Hehe, no worries wink.gif

You played it slower than it was supposed to be at the chosen tempo - but, yeah, that is the lick I was talking about smile.gif Did you by any chance try that software we were talking about some time ago? The Amazing Slowdowner? That one can isolate the lick and you can play it at the desired tempo so you can hear it better, especially in respect to the context.

You played triplets here and they were supposed to be sextuplets, thus 6 notes over each beat instead of three. I also wanted to ask if you are always aware of the rhythmic subdivisions that are being played in the pieces you are learning smile.gif It's a crucial aspect and I would like to develop the matter with you - it will serve you incredibly well smile.gif Can you feel the difference I stated above between the two types of rhythmic subdivisions?

Thanks a lot!!

about rhythmic subdivisions:
I think, yes. I can understand what you are talking about.
But I should train and develop this.

Excellent wink.gif You know, Ben's lesson - Picking hand basics? I am not sure if we tackled it before, but it will give you a great grasp on juggling with various rhythmic subdivisions, especially on the idea of mixing binary and ternary subdivisions: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Picking-Hand-Basics/

This one will help out with the type of work you need to be tackling in Mark's solo - mixing binary and ternary rhythmic subdivisions wink.gif

What do you think, mate?

I got these things.
I am going to my business trip and I will come back on Friday and show you.
Today I played Mark's solo with the program which you sent me.
It helps me to feel the rhythmics subdivisions)
I want to continue as soon as possible.

Hey mate!!

Wow biggrin.gif You are coming to Romania! That's great! I will be away with a concert on a festival between September 5-6 (Friday-Saturday) so I think we can meet on Sunday, if it's cool with you!

Oh my GOD! biggrin.gif Dude!! There's an incredible progress on the solo! You played without VERY little misses in the fast parts and the bends were almost there! I can't believe you managed to work your way through it like this in such a short time! Very good!!

The things that you should be focusing on still would be the clean parts in the verse and the first half of the bridge are a bit rigid and the tone which should be cleaner.

The riffs are in a better shape but, they could be played cleaner and more rhythmic as well - try to place the original recording in the Amazing SLowdowner and transpose it -2 semitones down and then record over it to notice the little differences smile.gif

What do you think? I am talking about the clean tone parts here especially - let's focus on these! Deal?

Hi)

About my progress, I am sure without any doubt it is possible because of you.
You help me very much. You inspire me and I want to work more)
I will continue working in this key according your advices)

About my arriving:
Firstly we planed to land on September 12 in the evening and fly to Moscow on September 14 in the evening.
But it is impossible.
What do you say if we will arrived on September,18 or 19?
There are no evening flights on Sunday and we should take off only an 1 P.M. on Sunday.
So we will have Saturday and may be Friday to meet.
I have an idea,I don't now how it looks but what do you think if we will record "open your eyes" cover together?
I can not to take my guitar with me,I am really cary about what can happen with it in the luggage compartment.
But I will take my camera))

It's OK.
I don't care about the time I think about the idea to meet you and record together.

If we look forward-October,November and to infinity)

I say that it's good and that you sound very determined! Congrats man! I am more than happy to work with you and your energy and progress motivate me as well.

Maybe October is a good month - I will be in Budapest between 10-12, then in Scotland again between 12-17th and in Budapest again on the 30th. Otherwise I am in Bucharest, so if it's cool with you we can plan this for October. I can take you to the music store of the PRS dealer and you can try a lot of PRS models if you would like that smile.gif What do you think? I say, let's focus on the Alter Bridge song, as it needs to sound as great as possible and thus, you have a lot of time to perfect details and all the little things that will make the recording stand out smile.gif

Great!!!
Let's plan on October,3-4.
)
About PRS:
I have no a guitar with 24 frets.
I saw that there is Custom 24.
It is expensive but it is PRS.
I would like to buy a bright color guitar(red)
))

And now I concentrate on Alter Bridge))
So,I should continue playing in a slow temp until it will be perfect and easy for me.

Hey there matey!

Sounds good to me so far, hope nothing will come up - wow, you really mean business with those guitars biggrin.gif Well, I'll see what sort of a Custom 24 in that sort of a finish will be available in the store or deposit at that time, then and regarding the Alter Bridge tune, please focus on the last set of indications I sent - especially the clean parts, as those need your attention most at this point.
