Are you having trouble figuring out the right scale to solo with over a chord or chord progression? Need to know if you're thinking about a chord or arpeggio spelling correctly? Just not sure about any element of music theory and want a quick answer? Post your questions below and I'll get right on answering them for ya! We are looking into it, but the problem with PC is that the Apps can be pirated very easily, so we are looking into ways that we can offer it on PC but not have it pirated as soon as we release it. I have the theory basics but somtimes argue with my pianist friend about the chord names. If it's in the key of E minor, then it could be functioning as a idim chord, tonic diminished, or it could be borrowing from E Locrian for that chord as all those notes fit into the E Locrian chord/scale, so a bit of modal borrowing. chords like this are tricky out of context. It's actually easier to name them if they are in a progression so you can see what came before and where it went after. Do you have a progression that you use this in? But if I was soloing over it or writing a melody over that chord I would use Locrian to build that line. Seems like it would fit the best.
