Hi mate! Thanks for the info, it really helps me to know more about you, your musical taste and your guitar goals. I think that the first thing that we should focus is on basic technique stuff in order to be able to play some songs that you like and also to have an average level that lets you compose cool riffs and ideas. The idea is that you work on 4 lessons covering 4 techniques very used in Metal and post videos of you playing the lessons to start polishing your technique.
This is the list of techniques and lessons that you should work this first week: Rhythm & Palm Muting: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...c-metal-rhythm/ Alternate Picking: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-Workout-2/ Legato: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Land-Of-Legato/ Vibrato & bending: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...String-Bending/ What do you think? Hi friend! Great to hear again from you here. I'm listening to your take on the rhythm metal lesson. I think that you are on the right track but there are some important things to have in mind, work and improve to polish your rhythm technique.
- One of the main problems is that the open chord that are played between the palm muted patterns sound a bit muted and also out of tune. The first thing is easier to fix, you just have to quit the palm of your right hand a bit before you strum the chord. The second one seems to be a problem with the pressure of your fingers. If you do too much pressure you can do a microbend on some strings and the result is that your chords sound a bit out of tune. Off course, first check if the problem isn't that your guitar is out of tune, but I have the suspect that this is a fingers pressure issue. - Other thing to improve is your timing. It's not bad all the time, but there are some little passages that have timing issues that should be fixe to make the overall take tighter. (for example around 00:21, 00:33, 01:04). - The slides that starts in the second half need some practice to sound more defined. You have to polish this technique to make it sound tight and clearer. The chords slides sound insecure yet. Work on it. You are on the right track, please work on the things detailed and record another take soon. If it's possible, a video to let me give more feedback about motions and posture. Keep on the god job! -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate, I checked, commented and graded the lessons yesterday. Please check the comments and let me know what you think of trying using amp emulators to solve that neighbors issue.
About the recording thing, yes, this is very normal, we have to deal with it, and I can say that the best way to get better is with Practice. But not just practice, I mean practicing recording yourself playing, that's the only way that I know to solve the red light syndrome. -------------------- My lessons

I did actually use an amp emulator to post the audio only file earlier, I'm just having some trouble getting it to sync with video. For some reason when I tried creating a video by combining the audio with a webcam of me playing at the same time the preview of the video would line up fine, and then every time I went to save the file the audio would get all out of sync. I think maybe if I try a different movie maker program it might work. Ah ok, so you already have experience with it. If you use a video editor you can move audio and put it in sync. Movie Maker should allow you to do it, but if not, this is a list with other possible free video editors: http://www.techradar.com/news/software/app...ownload-1136264 -------------------- My lessons
