Hey GMC!
As we progress through our journey as beginning guitarists, we turn our attention to string bending for this lesson. Keep in mind that even though this lesson is focused on beginners, those who are more advanced would to well to practice this lesson to improve the precision of bending strings to the correct pitch!
Tonality:
We'll be using the diatonic scale of C Major (or A minor), so if you haven't learned them before, please check them out with these lessons:
Beginner's Corner 13: Major Scale
Beginner's Corner 15: Minor Scale
Chord progression:
Am, F, C, G (x4)
and then ending on Am
Equipment and Sound: I used a Gibson Les Paul with P90s pickups on the bridge pickup, an Xotic Effects BB preamp Midboost for overdrive, and a Fender Blues Jr NOS amp. I mic'd it with an AKG D320B microphone and recorded into Garageband. I added a little reverb, delay, and compression after it had been recorded in Garageband.
Tuning:
A 440 Standard
