Thank you very much, it feels good to be back smile.gif
Gabriel, I am having problems how to go from the rock part in the backing where I have a solo sound to the clean part in the backing. Is it best to slow the melody down and pick a cleaner tone? https://youtu.be/tSM40GlyFvk?t=55s

Hi mate, what do you exactly mean? If you want to go for a cleaner sound and do the change smooth, you could use your guitar's volume pot. Is that what you mean?

Ah ok, so I recommend you to use your left hand pinky finger to lower volume (which will lower gain) when you reach this part.

Hey Gabriel!
I have been very excited and very motivated to finish the composition over the backing track now when I started to practice again. It feels like this is starting to take shape now. I have changed to parts you didn't like. I am skeptical to the phrase at 0:15-0:18 and I did a harmony at 0:55-0:59.
I would love to hear your opinion of it and see if there is any parts you think I should replace. smile.gif

Hi Alex! Great to see you working hard on this composition!

I'll share the parts that I think could sound cooler.

- Lick at 00:15. As you noted, this phrase is not defined, I wouldn't repeat that idea used on the first phrase. Go for something more natural.
- Something similar but less problematic happens at 00:25.
- Phrase at 00:38, there is something sounding out of scale or with pitch problems there.
- harmonization: what's the interval used to harmonize there?

Other than this details, the next step is to adjust timing and expressing elements like vibrato, bending and dynamics. Working on lessons that cover this topics will definitely help.

Hey Gabriel!
Thanks alot for your feedback! It truly helps me very much. smile.gif
I will replace the parts you mentioned and come up with something better wink.gif

It was a octave. Do you think it is a good idea to keep the harmonization?

Hi Alex, great to know that the comments helped! About the harmonization, I don't hear an octave, I hear unison. Could you please tab what both guitars are doing there?

Hi Alex!

The harmonization looks good, I don't know why I didn't hear it like that in your solo, maybe you could turn the second guitar softer in the mix to avoid that the part sound louder than the previous parts without harmonization.

About your beginner take, this is on the right track but you have to keep on working on:

- Your bending. The bends at 00:27, 00:43 and the half bends at 00:14 and 00:47.
- Vibrato: there is more room to make it sound more consistent.
- Your timing, there are many phrases that are not played tight. Take care of it.

Also, I think that your guitar is not perfectly tuned on this video.

Your takes on the timing workout sound good. The triplets are played well, while the 8th notes over AC/DC backing are a bit irregular yet. The backing is tricky but that's what makes the exercise even more helpful. Keep on practicing it.

I'll be back with the backings.

These are the backing that you need:

Hi Alex, the three lessons are on the right track but you need to adjust timing. You are not going tight with the backing on them so I think that the best would be to practice the lessons over the original takes or guitar pro if you are not able to reach the normal tempo yet.

So please keep on practicing but remember to also think on timing.

Hello Gabriel! smile.gif

How are you doing? smile.gif Long time no see! I have seen you been busy on Facebook. I lost my interest in Guitar this autumn when I changed my music taste to RnB and Hip Hop but lately after seeing some guitar videos on YouTube, I missed all the fun playing guitar so I really consider getting back at it again. The last days I have been just playing some stuff I remember and it felt great.
