Yes! But my idea is to develop the backing track gradually - so maybe we will end up with completely replacing the original backing track with drums and other instruments.

Here is the longer version:

thkx a lot guy !

Excellent, thanks Todd! (nice tone btw!)

To keep a good flow I have started working with what I got so far (Todd's take). I am really digging the mini duel we got going! biggrin.gif

Hello Kristopher

I do not understand?
You cut the differents takes to make this new audio track ?

I want to play with you. Should I play this new audio track ?

Exactly - that is the plan.

I did not have Laurents' or Superize's files, so I used Todds so we could get started.

But if you record something over this last file, and also send me the guitar only file, starting from point 0, without any effects (preferably a wav file). Then I will include you (hopefully without any cutting).

Let me know if it makes sense?

Thanks! smile.gif It's the very handy EZMIX2/Guitar Gods Pack. One click and BAM!! Instant tone on tap smile.gif It was on sale a bit back for half off. I used it on the last collab as well. Easiest plugin ever!

I started with the free demo of course. smile.gif It's a great way to get started on guitar plugins!

Love it, thanks! Lots of beautiful blues licks in here, it's going to sound killer as Q & A I think! cool.gif

@Superize: excellent - thanks!

------

I can't wait to get mixing these! I hope to get more studio time during the weekend. Until then feel free to keep Q & A:ing each other, possibly using this mix as a starting point.

Here is a new version, with some added orchestration (drums and bass).

Feel free to add a lick at the end of this file and then upload your take here, and then someone else might give you a response!

Should get something to you soon, just got in from Spain and took longer to get unpacked/fed/showered etc than I thought.

This is a great collab, I just hope I can come up with something as fitting as everyone else has.

Cheers Kris cool.gif

Hi Laurent, this sounds cool to me and there is some adventurous note choice going on. Let's see if we get any responses.

Another option you could try, is to let Supersize's take end, give it a short moment of silence - and then just play 1-2 well prepared licks.

I know this is a little different from how you have jammed in previous collabs - but it's a good way of working as it forces you to pick some of the stronger licks you know. Also it is easier for others to "reply" if your take is shorter and more concise.

Personally, I prefer your clean[er] tone. This is just a matter of taste of course, since we have already had lots of different tones in the collab so far. But you have showed control of dynamics previously, and that kind of stuff comes through better with a clean tone.

Hi kris

I chose the second option !!!
I'll do a shorter lick with a clean sound ( use my hollow samick instead of my lp custom emg ).

I'll post certainely tomorow !
