Hi Alex, good job! Your timing and articulation are better on this one. I think that you are also muting a bit the sixth string with the palm of your right hand and that's why some notes still sound with staccato. This details combined to the previous I've marked are affecting the smoothness of your take. Keep on practicing.

Hi Alex! Great job!! This take shows important improvements!! Both timing and articulation are much better!

The next goal is more dynamic playing. Check our your right hand, you are playing really soft, check the original lesson and emulate a bit how my right hand hits the strings to get different intensities. Following the groove with your head and body will also give more feeling to your playing. You can play this one now it's time to stop thinking and start to feel it. smile.gif

I need your advices. I've the habit to keep my little finger fixed upon the pickguard. Does it harm to my dynamic ? I do that to have more stability. It is a bad habit ?

Hi mate, about your finger question. It's not a problem, it's frequently used like that as an anchor point when picking precision is required. If you focus your right movement on your wrist, you won't have problems with this.

About the take, I think that dynamics are better, but some old problems are appearing here and there (timing and articulation). At this stage is difficult to think on everything at the same time so you just need to keep on practicing to make the things more natural.

You can share it at REC to receive other instructors opinions, feel free to do it.

I just wanted to have your opinion before doing it.. If there is some timing problems (I listen it), i will work again. It's just I started being bored by this lesson.

Sure! As it's time to make the things become more natural, you are ready to start focusing on a new lesson and keep playing this one for 5/10 minutes every day to keep making the different elements familiar.

Do you have any new lesson in mind?

You suggest me BB's blues but I think it's to difficult for me now.

I've seen many lessons I'd like to work

Finnish power metal : Nightwish
Finish power metal : Stratovarius (a bit difficult...)
Bossa nova rythm

Hi mate, I feel that the Nightwish lesson can give some problems because it's fast. Have you tried the first riff?

I'd suggest this one:

Where was that take posted? You can upload it again to youtube and then edit your post. Does it resolve the issue?

Yes, this one still has timing issues. But don't worry, this is a matter of time. Keep going as we've talked and your playing will keep improving.

How is the bossa lesson going?
