Todd,
Sorry, I got back too late to submit anything. A lady who was getting onto the plane fell down the steps, they called paramedics to see if they could fix her up but she had to go to hospital in the end so then, they had to find her luggage in the hold all this meant we missed our time slot. First off Phil, thanks for taking the time to go for a take and having the cahones to share it with the group! It's not easy to put yourself out there like that. Especially at the start when you are not yet sure of your abilities. Mucho Kudos!
On to the debrief!!! I like your atonal style in bits here. (p.s. not a backhanded way of saying your playing out of key) I"m assuming of course, that you chose the notes that you chose on purpose, as opposed to just sort of guessing and hoping for the best Either way, ti worked out I did notice it seemed like your fingers were almost fighting to solo in the key of A Blues/ A Pentatonic instead of E Blues/E Pentatonic and in particular E Minor which is one of the better scales to work in given the structure of the backing. It's a much more complex scale though so not alway the first one reached for. Once you get used to it though, it's a wealth of licks in one scale.îI must congratulate you on your technique here btw! You have good timing, good pick control, no extra string noise, etc. Your overall technique is MUCH improved and you are coming along nicely toward being a MONSTER PLAYER!!!! I'm happy to badge you up here One thing though, please do let me know if you were trying to play against key for itonal impact, or if you were a bit guessing and missed a few here and there? I was kinda winging it with the notes. I knew I was going out of the park but it was a bit of guess work as to whether or not it would work which, obviously given my level, I don't know how it will sound until I hit it so that's why some do sound a bit too flat to my ears. It was a total imrpov after 15 minutes rehearsal after a week out so I don't think it's too bad considering everything Also with E I'm losing my "safe" box shape unless I use the open strings so i picked the two frets with the most "key" notes on and based it around those Cheers buddy.
