I'm sitting here with some lyrics for a new song, but not really any music yet. And I know people have sometimes been asking how I go about writing my songs, as I use Guitar Pro a lot for instance.

So I thought I'd make a stream on Facebook/youtube, possibly starting in half an hour or an hour, but I just thought I'd hear if there's even interest for this. No need to sit through the whole thing, but check in once in a while if you feel like it smile.gif

What do you say?

It was really interesting! What are you using for streaming your software and your camera at the same time?

I just watched it this morning. Well I didn't have time to watch it all but I skimmed through it watching little chunks. Very very interesting. I couldn't believe how quickly you got stuff into guitar pro, you obviously know it very very well.

It made me realise how little I know about song creation huh.gif

Thanks Ben smile.gif

It turned out to be more of an introduction and less of music writing, but I'll make some more parts for it smile.gif

Lyrics are here, Todd. Or at least the current version of them:

Close your eyes and picture this:
All your wounds have healed
Your broken bones mended
And all the scars have faded
The pain you've felt throughout the years
Subsided at a moment's notice

I know it doesn't come easy
But if in that moment you could feel reborn
If in that moment you could see the world anew
Maybe some day we could rebuild the walls
That crumbled around you
And if within those walls you could find the strength
If from those walls you could summon the courage
to strike your demons down
Then strike your demons down

Caged and confined
They will never see the light of day again
Encarcerated
Detained deep within
They will never see the light of day again

Now open your eyes
And see the world in a different light
If only for one moment
You could find the nerve
to take it all on
Then take it all on

Even though your wounds are still open
Your broken bones still shattered
And though you're still grinding on through the dirt and mud
I know it doesn't come easy
But if from that mud you could find the strength
If from this dirt you could summon the courage
to strike your demonds down
Then strike your demons down

Caged and confined
They will never see the light of day again
Encarcerated
Detained deep within
They will never see the light of day again
Caged and confined
They will never see the light of day again

Very cool lyrics! The lyrics and the vocals are always the hardest part for me.
