That's what I found Hardtail. The Strat was amazing...don't get me wrong. The tone of it was just beautiful. I will have one eventually but the particular one I played (American Strat) compared to the Ibanez...I believe the Ibanez was a RG42FX...just didn't feel right. With the Ibanez I was running through the fret board with ease. Scales up and down and some different riffs. It was like pressing buttons so smooth. The neck was a thinner profile than the Fender so I felt like I had better control. With the Fender I felt like I was stretching more and my hand got tired quicker. Ibanez would have been so far down on my list of guitar to get before this experience. I'm still in the market for a new guitar but want to research Ibanez more before deciding on a model. Totally changed my opinion of Ibanez. Cool! I'm glad the Ibanez worked out for you. I have a lot of respect for Ibanez but the funny thing is... what everyone really loves about them (the thin necks) is actually the one thing that bothers me about them. When I play an ibanez I feel like the neck is too thin and my hand cramps up on me after an hour or so. I did however like using my thumb on the E string much more with the ibanez but all-in-all I like the way my Fender plays better. Pavel and Andrew are right: Ibanez rules! Its a little sad to see your old axe (RG350 looks like) just shoved around the corner - you have to promise to play her sometimes or she will get lonely This post has been edited by Andrew Cockburn: Aug 28 2007, 05:11 AM -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
