Hi and welcome to my new Beginner's Course. This is the 1st lesson in a whole series that will take you on a journey from your first day with the guitar, to being able to bash out your own riffs and even get started with some basic solo ideas.
It's time to get to grips with Lesson 1.
What is this thing ?
- I will show you all the features of the guitar and describe their basic function to you.
- I will show you how the guitar is tuned and give you a very useful method of tuning it yourself. You will also be able to name the strings.
- You will learn the names of all the notes along one string and be introduced to the concept of tones and semi tones.
Not only that, you will be introduced to octaves.
With this fundamental knowledge you will then be ready to start reaching for that guitar pick and taking your first steps into the world of guitar playing.
Are you ready? Right, let's get started!
Gear used:
Marshall JVM 410H
Clean Channel, Green setting. BASS 1, MID 5, TREB 5
