To be honest I wasn't expecting much of this album. I had read countless times that "go off!" couldn't even scratch Speed Metal Symphony (SMS), but since our GMC Coordinator & Instructor Zsolt requested a review on this album I decided to give a try.
After 40:13 min, I was a complety amazed, unlike SMS, this album it is easier to digest, the shreding madness of the last album seems to have faded away a bit, but it was replaced with amazing guitar lines that create a whole new magic atmosphere, not only the guitars but the whole band (drums, etc etc). I felt that this album was way better worked and produced than the previous one, a shame that it was the last one.

Guitar - Marty Friedman and Jason Becker, do I need to say anything else?!!. Well ok, some of the fans might get sad from the lack of shred on this last one, but it was replaced with awesome melodic solos! (images), beside that the rhythm guitar on this album is amazing and very solid, you can feel a strong thrash feeling on songs like E.S.P and Sword of the Warrior.
Drums - The drums, are mind blowing imo! I can pretty much pass the whole album headbagging to the rhythm of the drums.
Ps: I don't understand anything about it xD
Bass - The bass seems to be more solid than the one in the last album, I think it's really well built in this album, although I still think they could add some bass breaks.

I felt an improvement on the voice on this album, and don't ask me why, but in some parts it quite reminds me of Helloween. As for the Lyrics, well I'm not of a big fan of the lyrics on this band, but I think they are good enough to fit in, the only thing I really dislike was the to much repetion of some words.
Black Cat
Sleek and shiny, dark and fast Never let it cross your path The panic begins, its a battle you'll never win She'll bait the trap, don't mess with the Black Cat
Superstition isn't true Could it be maybe I love you? The panic begins, its a battle you'll never win She'll bait the trap, don't mess with the Black Cat
Don't mess with the Black Cat If you believe in superstition Don't turn your back Never mess with a black cat
Blazin' eyes, stalk the night Cold and hungry in the dark The panic begins, its a battle you'll never win she'll bait the trap, don't mess with the black cat
Don't mess with the Black Cat If you believe in superstition Don't turn your back Never mess with a black cat
Don't mess with the black cat If you believe in superstition Don't turn your back Never mess with a black cat
Sword of The Warrior
Ticking, ticking, ticking, My final impression I'm too late, warrior lost in time Destruction will surely be hell It's plain, yeah I see it in the stars
Ticking a force unrelenting The stage was set God give you life never ending I will forget We won't forget The sword of the warrior Sung with steel We won't forget The sword of the warrior Sung with steel
Tripping malorder and pain Battle cry lost in a modern world Madness will soon be displayed Sword of steel it's the test of time
Ticking a force unrelenting The stage was set God give you life never ending I will forget We won't forget The sword of the warrior Sung with steel We won't forget The sword of the warrior Sung with steel
Overall
8,3
Like i said before, i think this album was away better produced then SMS, it focus less in the two twin guitar and its focus more in the band. Still don't like the voice (Ben don't talk me) but well i feel and improvement in the vocals also and some really enjoyed. Not have much to had i recommend it!
