9 Like i said before, Heavy relentless riffs and creative melodies. Twin guitar duo Zoltan Bathory and Barrett Roberts attack you with some detuned, aggressive fretplay. The riffs can be compared to many styles of metal such as Thrash and Death Metal, atleast most prominelty. The solos are fantastic, some great shredding on here, the first song "Ashes" has a beautiful Arpeggio section, and some solos arent a shred fest, but very slow tempo, Smooth and moody licks, a great overall diversity

Sound

8 The debut album from 5FDP Has a very solid and thrashy sound, heavy relentless riffs toppled over some creative melodies provided a Dark yet Brutal sound.

Guitar Work

9 Like i said before, Heavy relentless riffs and creative melodies. Twin guitar duo Zoltan Bathory and Barrett Roberts attack you with some detuned, aggressive fretplay. The riffs can be compared to many styles of metal such as Thrash and Death Metal, at least most prominelty. The solos are fantastic, some great shredding on here, the first song "Ashes" has a beautiful Arpeggio section, and some solos arent a shred fest, but very slow tempo, Smooth and moody licks, a great overall diversity

Bass Work

8 Throughout the album it basically follows the riffs of the ryhthm guitar, but i give the bass player credit cause some of there riffs are quite technical and he is keeping up with them, other parts of the album the bass plays a small part in the song yet the short time i heard it, it was great, it was just a simple 3 or 4 notes, but he played them great.

Drums

7 Very Decent, some great double bass throughout the whole album and some awesome grooves coming out of Sir Jeremy Spencer. On more than once occasion the drums are just fantastic like in the beginning of "The Way Of The Fist". Great fast double bass, i can never get enough of it!

Vocals

8 Ivan Moody does a fantastic job, his low and rough screams are extremely agressive and never let up, yet he also possesses an amazing clean and melodic voice, as seen throughout a large protion of there single "The Bleeding". Overall his vocals are just massively agressive.

Lyrics

8 Sometimes a bit odd, ive grown on these lyrics quite a bit. Mostly there nothing to special, But they always have a clear message, always intentful, which is why i gave them an 8, i didnt feel lost reading these lyrics, i knew what was going on. Here are my favorite excerpts.

From "The Way Of The Fist"
I don't remember asking you about your imperfections
You might win one battle, But know this
I'll win the F****** War!

From "The Bleeding"
As wicked as you are, You're beautiful to me
You're the darkest burning star
You're my perfect disease

From "Salvation"
I won't bow to something, that i've never seen
Can't belive in something that doesnt belive in me
Im not blood of your blood, Im no son of your god
Ive no faith in your fate
Still i find salvation

Overall Impression:
8 Great heavy album, with its beautiful moments musically and lyrically, definetly a band worth chekcing out.
