“A http://guitarmasterclass.net/wiki/index.php/flat'>flat indicates that a note is to be played lower in pitch by a half step. When you see the flat symbol "b" next to a note, you should play that note lower by a half step; for example, E flat = Eb; B flat = Bb.”
