Judas Priest

Judas Priest hail from Birmingham England. Formed in 1968, they remain one of the most influential bands in heavy metal.

Many say it was "Priest" that defined the "twin guitar attack" in heavy metal. Emplying not one but two proficient lead players. Similar to their early influences like the band Wishbone Ash.

Judas Priest were one of the first bands to be labeled as Heavy Metal. It was Priest that brought about the later imitated leather and chains look.

Discovering the incomperable vocal abilities of one Tim Owens in 1996. This event inspired the box office film "Rockstar" starring Mark Wahlberg. Halford would eventually return to the fold in 2003.

Their most controversial moment was court case involving 2 teenagers and a suicide pact. The case was dismissed in 1990. The band was found not guilty of using subliminal messages in their cover of Spooky Tooth song "Better By You, Better Than Me"
