Introduction
Saul Hudson, or as most people call him, the legendary Slash, was born July 23, 1965, in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He was born to Tony and Ola Hudson, and has a younger brother, Albion Hudson. Most people know him as the former lead guitarist of the famous band Guns N' Roses, and is now currently shredding with Velvet Revolver. He is heralded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Biography
Early Life
Slash's personal life was filled with trials and tribulation. What seemed to be a happy family soon fell apart after the birth of Albion Hudson (Ash), coupled with the high-profile lives of their parents. His mother, Ola, was a famous fashion designer, suiting up big names back in the '60s such as David Bowie, John Lennon, and even Ringo Starr. His father, Tony, was an artist in every taste, including wine, paintings, and music, and even co-performed with such names as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.
Slash was generally a good kid back in his younger days. He loved to draw, especially animals, and was a proficient music listener, making good grades in elementary school. This was all shattered as his dad sat with him at a restaurant, and told him the news about the future divorce. He didn't really answer, just nodded and stared at his food. He would never be that same kid after his parents' divorce.
The trouble began in his preteen years, when he moved to L.A., CA, and attended high school, and on through early adulthood. A few things to name in the list: smoking, drinking, excessive pot, cursing, trouble with the law, kleptomania, sex, etc. Rebellious as Slash was, it was just the outside, he was still the same kid on the inside.
