The GT-10 is the most recent multi-effects (MFX) floorboard unit from Boss. It's described as a modeller using Roland's COSM technology and essentially is meant to provide digital modelling of well known amps and stomp boxes. It's in competition with the POD X3 Live, Digitech RP1000 and TC Electronics Nova System. The GT-10 has one 1/4" input, MIDI IN/OUT, SPDIF Out, Headphone Out, USB, Left (Mono)/Right 1/4" out, Send/Receive Loop 1/4" in and out, external amp channel switch, external expression/control pedal line.

Solera II is a plug-in dynamics processor aimed at professional Mastering Studios. As a dynamic processor it offers compression, de-compression, expansion and de-expansion options as well as brick wall limiting. As a plug-in it can run under both Windows (XP 32 and 64 bit and Vista 32 and 64 bit) and Mac (Tiger and Leopard) and as a Universal binary. Axon Ax-100 mk II is the update of Blue Chip's Music AX-100 guitar-to-midi converter and is now produced by the German company Terratec. Several updates has been made as well as adding an onboard GM/GX compatible synth and a computer editor. It is also bundled with Cubase 4 LE and comes in the 19' standard rack format.

Terratec is selling two versions, one without pickup and one bundled with a Seymour Duncan hexaphonic pickup + a 5 meter cable. (this costs bout 40€ ed. note) It accepts all input from the 13-pin cable manufactoring standard which makes it compatible with Roland, RMC, Piezo and other manufactorers. It has 500+ built-in sounds that can be stored along with other parameters in one of the 128 user presets. (More....)

Presonus is an american company that manufactures mostly studio products in the semi-professional range, and are known for their Firestudio series of soundcards as well as good prizes vs. features on their products. StudioLive is a unique product since it has both a digital mixer and a 16-channel soundcard, making it extremely versatile in both handling and feature-wise. It has not really any competitors on the market, since You have to buy a separate mixer, audio-interface + soundcard for the digital mixers available. But a good guess is that the other manufacturers will follow this trend, since it really is built for musicians on the move, and enables You to record Your live-concerts as well as doing pre-productions in Your own home with the same equipment.
