Eddie
Muris Varajic16th February 2008Thanks guys,I'm so glad you like it!! ![]()
Mark.,I start it with an upstroke cause sweep ends with downstroke.
But at high speed it's much easier to start triplets with downstroke,
so fit it to your self. ![]()
It might be tricky to do 2 downstrokes in a row at 150bpm 16th triplets
but nothing is impossible, sky is the limit. ![]()

Muris Varajic24th February 2008Thanks,appreciate it,have fun with it! ![]()
Goliath25th February 2008Holy crap Muris.
I'll admit. For a while I thought you were a bit overrated among the GMC community and that you had pretty good technique and were really creative but thought some of your praises were a bit in excess. Then I watched this lesson and now I too will bow at your alter, you're a monster, and this composition is fantastic. Bravo!
Muris Varajic25th February 2008Just doing my best,thanks tho! ![]()

Well... This is definitely the answer.
Muris Varajic15th March 2008Yeah,I guess it's not the easier one. ![]()
But anyhow give it a try, there are many slow backings, have fun with it! ![]()

I CAN PLAY IT!!!
(in 70 bpm:P)
Muris Varajic1st April 200870 bpm is fine tempo for this kind of stuff, trust me.
It's better to play it clean and comfortable at 70...
instead of pushing it around 100 while making mistakes.Right? ![]()
I think I died.
Muris Varajic1st April 2008Nope,you're posting which means you're healthy as ever. ![]()
Trond Vold1st April 2008Seriously Muris.. I'll never get tired of this one

Pizzoaro14th April 2008Ok, now im going for details... Im having major trouble speedpicking on the b-string and the e-string. im using .09 - .46 strings, and i like it that way, but its hard to speedpick the light strings, so. what strings do u use muris? This is great, and I thought this was ultimate, but your way of teaching is so great anyone could do it if they study hard enough. I really have to get some sleep now xD I havent slept for 1,5 days for this;)
Thanxk Muris:D
Bondy14th April 2008Shock face just choosing some new lessons found this my Muris that was freaking awesome i cant wait till june to see you at the show hope you do a demo LOL
Muris Varajic14th April 2008Thanks Bondy, looking forward to June as well! ![]()
Wow, Muris - between this and the Advanced Fusion lesson, you sure keep me busy. I can play it at about 120, but I don't think it will ever be as clean as you play it at 150. You're the man.
Muris Varajic17th April 2008Hey there,welcome to GMC!
Just keep on practicing and you'll be playing it even faster! ![]()
Harlequin21st April 2008Awesome! ![]()

Sami30th June 2008I can play video 1+2 at 70 bpm, its that alright for someone whos been playing for around a year? i wanna gauge my process haha
Muris Varajic30th June 2008That's fine progress Sami!
But my advice is not to think about
how many years you've been playing,
it can only distract you.
Just practice and enjoy while doing it,
result must be there. ![]()
Sami30th June 2008Thanks for the advice ill just keep trying my hardest ![]()
One of the hardest lessons on here!
Its brilliant.
Even attempting it makes me break a sweat
Muris Varajic8th July 2008Welcome to GMC!! ![]()
Thanks for your kind words
but if it's too hard for you atm then you should go
with something easier, there are tons of amazing lessons on the site. ![]()
Nighthawk115th July 2008Jawdropping lesson!
Ian Bushell15th July 2008Hold on just getting my jaw off the floor....
WOW!
150!!
You are the man Muris!!!
Great lesson ![]()
Muris Varajic15th July 2008Appreciate it guys. ![]()
I'am having a major problem. in #8 when you change strings with an upstroke[that sounds dirty]then back down with alt. picking , I can't do that ,have been trying for a year ,practice with a metronome. do you have any suggestions. ps can't even play it at 70
Muris Varajic19th July 2008But you joined March 2008,it cannot be a year. ![]()
On the other hand, this lesson is indeed for advance players,
perhaps you should try something easier and come back
latter on this lesson?
Just an idea tho. ![]()
O. K. maybe 70 was a slight exageration but I think I pick faster when i switch strings so when i speed up that slight shift throws me off. I 've been playing many years and can almost play much of your stuff except that type of lick. I don't know what i need to do to retrain my mind
Muris Varajic20th July 2008Could you record a video of you playing it?
Then post it in my instructor sub-board
and I'll see what is going on there. ![]()
sigma725th July 2008I like it better then Malmsteen!
Muris Varajic25th July 2008That's very kind,thanks. ![]()
Jose Mena1st August 2008Wow
So accurate and fast, this is great, I believe 150 bpm playing 16th triplets is even faster than Michael Angelo, or Malmsteen, I haven't sat down to verify this, but I'm almost positive, I will set the metronome to 150 bpm and try it
Muris Varajic2nd August 2008Cheers Jose. ![]()
This is so sick Muris! I'm only able to play like this in my dreams
Awesome lesson!!
Muris Varajic3rd August 2008Just learn it and play very slow,
speed will come with time,no worries. ![]()
damir3rd August 2008ovo je cisto nenormalno dobroooo!!! svaka cast
I like it!!!
Guitarist1616th August 2008i would learn this, but i am afraid of melting my fretboard. Great lesson!
Muris Varajic16th August 2008Thanks . ![]()
Jesse22nd August 2008... reminds me of this rlly old game para trooper ![]()
enforcer3rd October 2008It is obviously a perfect use of "force speed" technique from starwars, he is actually playing it at 70 in his own space-time and he is in comfort.
I wonder if your fingers are easy to move at these speeds as they gain more mass as they are near speed of light?
great challenge (I dare not to call this a lesson
) and 16th note triplets 150bpm seems like impossible... But as you tought us long ago nothing is impossible Mr. Varajic
Thank you ![]()
Jose Mena3rd October 2008This lesson has more replies than any other I believe, without a doubt is one of the most inspirational shred pieces I have heard, when I first saw it I had to get off my chair and pick up the guitar. Awesome, simply awesome.
Muris Varajic4th October 2008Appreciate it guys! ![]()
Pedro19th October 2008incredibble realy accurate.. the composition everything is perfect.. i knew it before.. that he can play like that

enforcer7th December 2008been workin for 3 weeks and I got to play with no errors in 80 bpm. 150 bpm?! even 120 bpm is still a joke!!! ![]()
Muris Varajic7th December 2008No worries,now you've nailed all parts
and slowly build up the tempo,it's just matter of time and practicing. ![]()
enforcer9th December 2008Working on it. improving 1 bpm every day and trying to play clear and correct as much as I can times. I think we'll see the result in a month or two !! ![]()
Muris Varajic9th December 2008Looking forward to your take,
ask if you need any help tho. ![]()
Canis16th December 2008What's the bosnian word for "Perfection"?

That guitar gotta be burning hot after you shredded so fast
Good job, think I posted on this lesson before, but this just gets better and better! ![]()
Muris Varajic8th April 2009Appreciate it. ![]()
Muris, i am new to guitar master class, and i am currently practicing both this, and your advanced fusion piece. I know that i will be able to play these, but i have a problem. During my experience as a guitarist(4 yrs), i have had chronic pain in the first joint of my fret hand pinkie. Is this most likely due to bad technique, too little practice, or not stretching or something, any thoughts?...it is driving me mad. By the way, you are a HUGE inspiration. You are musical and your technique is astounding!
Muris Varajic1st May 2009Hello Jimbolaya and welcome to GMC. ![]()
Sorry to hear about your pinky issue, I have same problem sometimes
usually caused by too much playing and without any breaks, warm-up etc.
Perhaps you could do some warm up when you pick up guitar,
some easier exercises, lets say 5-10 mins shall be enough,
then you can start working on these 2 lessons.
And thanks for your kind words, much appreciated. ![]()
Alexiaden936th May 2009Hi Muris... I was just wondering whether you're taking any guitar-steroids to play like this ? It's physically "impossible" to play this fast and accurate ! I worship you !
Muris Varajic6th May 2009It is NOT impossible, just needs some practicing. ![]()
GGTopGuitarist4th August 2009?!?! mental
this is next in line after your string skipping and slap guitar lesson :-)

Muris Varajic17th August 2009![]()
hey muris would i be allowed to play this for an audition? if not, thats ok, but if so, is there any way i could use the backing track? (maybe through an ipod?) Either way thanks again for making this its really helped me understand how to put more complex songs together; not to mention the chops workout ![]()
Muris Varajic17th August 2009I believe you can use it for an audition
as long as it doesn't have a commercial use.
I'll post a backing in my sub-board in a sec. ![]()
thank you!
ahahah
"So it's kind a standard Neo-Classical piece"
I would not call this standard!
very nice muris ![]()
Muris Varajic1st September 2009But it is very ordinary neo-classical progression!
Cheers. ![]()
stratman7912th November 2009Holy technique batman!!!!
