It was a nice take. You should work on the 16th notes runs and general groove feeling. Have you learned about major triads and notes they contain ?

I want you to keep learning these improv concepts and basic theory for bass so here is the next assignment.

Great take man, you really did this well! You have got a good feeling for 2 feel walking bass! Please study more concepts about improvising that were covered in the lesson and which you had problems with (making your own improv).

Weekly assignment 3:

Minor triads

Goal : To learn the notes of minor triads and their shapes/position on bass fretboard.

Purpose : Learning about triads is essential since those are your strong notes when supporting chords and you will primarily use them when constructing bass lines! In this lesson you will also practice your groove skills and playing dead notes.

Instructions :

First check out the lesson and learn it by heart. Make sure you understand about triads and how they are built! That is very important. By learning lesson you will also learn common shapes on bass for minor triads.

Requirements :

Post updates on your practice daily if possible, describing what have you done. I want you to record in VIDEO (or audio only if you can't make it) your performance of the lesson. I will attach the backing track once you need it (just ask here once you're ready to record)!

Deadline to complete: 25th of January

Have you seen your MTP REC take for January ? You should start working on that lesson as well so you have it ready for upload before the end of month.

You should be scanning MTP boards frequently as I think next month new phase should be starting... Look for more info there in order not to miss it...
