Hello friends!! Welcome to a new GMC collab!!

This time we are experimenting with a new idea that started HERE.

Based on Cael's recording, I've created a Track divided in 3 parts (Intro, Verse, Chorus). You can Jam over 1, 2 or all the backings..
Share your audio and video files here and I'll mix it and edit a video with all solos.

Intro: Attached File  Backing_1___110_bpm.mp3 ( 460.94K ) Number of downloads: 197

Verse: Attached File  Backing_2___110_bpm.mp3 ( 1.25MB ) Number of downloads: 210

Chorus: Attached File  Backing_3___110_bpm.mp3 ( 869.31K ) Number of downloads: 264

Full track: Attached File  Full_Backing___110_bpm.mp3 ( 2.44MB ) Number of downloads: 288

Backing with Vocals: Attached File  Backing_with_Vocals.mp3 ( 2.54MB ) Number of downloads: 207

WOW!! Super congrats everyone and GABE you are the man!!! You made this into a killer song. It started as just some solo takes and now it's a fully blown single. I think GMC should release these on spotify/bandcam/etc. The really good ones like this could be a great way to attract new folks to GMC!!!

How about one that builds like Bohemian Rhapsody or Stairway?, not particularly to mimic them but a similar structure.

I like the idea of having something that evolves from soft to rock/heavy, maybe even genre crossing. It might also make it easier for everyone to find their spot.

Maybe start with rural blues>city blues>blues rock>hard rock>metal>thrash.

Just throwing ideas into the pit wink.gif I also like Kris' idea of crossing genres, maybe blues>jazz>funk>pop>reggae>indie>rock>metal

Cheers

Both of these sound both crazy and cool to me, we just need to figure out how to start it off.

It could be just straight blues. It could then just change in to something heavier even still using a blues progression, just with a bit more gain and picked / muted as if it were a Metal tune smile.gif

Any chance that the last one will go on spotify? Does GMC have a spotify account? Could be a good promotional tool!

The little experience I have from Spotify tells me it is not a promotional tool, on the contrary you need heavy promotion for people to even find your track.

Yes, I have the same experience. Unless you have a big fan base or access to relevant Playlists, people won't find your track. Even Youtube is tricky, but there is a small chance to be found/shown.
