Do chord progressions have to follow numerical order? I'm working on a piece of music and I'm liking I v iv instead of I iv v it's this okay?

I realise I worded my question incorrectly but you got what I meant, I was meaning I(i) to be the 1st chord but then I wrote it down all wrong. Thanks, I am now liberated
