I Can't Stand Buttons

Buttons vs. Knobs

For Volume control (or any parameter for that matter) do you prefer knobs or buttons?

It never does exactly what I want it to do - to get it where I want it to be I have to either press the button many times, or hold it, which always causes it to go past where I want it to be. Then of course when they get old they don't work well and you have to push on the button hard to get it to work, which is fine with me, it just gives me an excuse to punch the stuffing out of it Theres no winning with those damn buttons Do you guys share a similar sentiment, or do I just need to check myself into anger management? However, on my stereo, you turn the knob and it works just like buttons anyway. How lame. But I guess that's a cheap stereo system for ya. It's nice, but I wish it were like my parents' that works like a knob should. But I don't wanna leave buttons in the dust! Ever since I was a little kid, I've always been fascinated by buttons. I used to have a toy phone that played little tunes when you pushed different buttons. I annoyed my parents I'm sure, with those tunes playing over and over and over again. I have a stereo in my car with BUTTONS for volume instead of knob. Its really time consuming, hard and distracting to simply change volume. I like to have a big knob for volume control.
