This is just a soundtest on Robben Fords "help the poor" -progression for a review Im writing on my new Suhr Strat Classic. It's recorded with no Eq in the mix and just a little reverb and delay.

EDIT: Recorded with SM57 and Fender Hot Rod deluxe.

The take is like this: Neck pickup clean, Neck + middle clean, Neck + middle with TS, Neck with TS, Bridge with OD1.
Btw here is a pic:

Naah, its just some improvisation from my old jazz habits, I have a long way to go in order to reach what I played ten years ago.... sad.gif I lost both technique and timing during the years I didn't play at all, but its coming I think....

Thx Stephanie! Yeah it really has the TONE, as You can hear in the beginning of the sound-clip no effects is added except for reverb and a little delay in the mix. Its just the guitar and the amp, and no EQ in the mix either. Its not a forgiving instrument - eg. it picks up everything You play, but on the other hand it have great dynamics and feels just wonderful to play... miles ahead from my other Strats....

That was exaordinary!
Through the monitor speakers it's so clear the guitar delivers it's sound not only through the pickups but from the bottom of the wood. So woody and sustainy. I could never belive a guitar could sound so outstanding.

Now I want one too biggrin.gif

Hehee, Yeah, the tone is really outstanding, even that I think it's not so "plucky" that an old strat sounds like, but I really like the sound more and more. smile.gif

Now that's a great guitar. It sounds extremely good.
Can i ask how much you paid for it?
Im in the plans of buying a suhr guitar, the ones i've tested is by far the best guitars i've ever tried.

Sure, the retail prize here in Sweden is normally bout 3000 €, but since I know the owner and bought a Les Paul at the same time I got some great discount.... I paid about 4000 € for both, and then the Les Paul was listed for 2000 in the store.... Anyway, on expensive guitars like this the shops SHALL give some discount, otherwise they will be hard to sell.....
