Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Bleez! Great to see your take here! biggrin.gif

We've been working on this one at the mentoring program (HERE) and I can say that your progress is very notable. This take obviously passes here and you just have to adjust some details to get a flawless one. The things that need to be worked are the ones in which we are focusing now:

- Bending: It's not bad on this one but I can note that you are not totally comfortable with this technique, it can be more consistent.

- Timing: There are VERY little timing issues on the main riff and leads.

- Dynamics: More dynamics in the solo section could be cool, just another details to have in mind.

By the way, this shows that you are doing a great job at GMC, keep on rocking!

Sounds likeyou did good job with Gabriel. Pretty tight and again - your remarkable tone smile.gif As for the tips, you need to improve your pitch while bending - mostly when playing two notes together - one straight and one bent at the same time. That's where the issue is most visible. You need to bend a little more to get both notes reach the same pitch. At this point they sound sort of "unfinished". I believe you can easily fix that thing. Well done smile.gif

Hey bleez - this is a very nice take. You are keeping time very nicely in this one, especially in the rhythm part. You've got a lot details down in the solo which is great. The only thing that jumps on me are bends. I think that it would be really useful to focus on the bending technique used in this lesson. Starting from 0:20 section to other bends in the solo. They bending a note and playing another string at the same time it is extra important to really match up the pitches of both notes as it is easy to produce a less smooth sounding bend when frequencies clash. These are extra difficult as you need to take care of both strings as sometimes we can also unintentionally bend the lower string along the way too. The tone is extremely similar to the one used by Gabriel in the lesson. My only suggestion here would be to dial in a bit less distortion to get a cleaner overall sound which would match up with the lesson take nicely. Overall - very good performance and it would be great to see a polished take on this one.
