The digitech whammy pedal has a option to drop tune 1 octave Yes, and its sounds best also imo. But Boss has a strictly octavider thing that also is good that is not so expensive... Congrats Keilnoth, I just bought a RC-20 myself, it is real fun to do some practicing with that one! //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. I think Boss OC-3 would be the most flexible one.
If it'll give a good bass sound or not, idk. Probably you can get a cheap real bass that will sound more like a real bass for the same money you spend on a pedal The problem I guess will be to adapt to playing rhythm to go with the drums and not sound like a guitar player on bass. -------------------- My bands homepage

If you just need a simple octave effect, and it's the first time you're getting one, I recommend Boss one. It's a decent pedal, cheap, and does the job.

I recommend the Micro Pog by EHX. I have a POG (not the micro) and it works great. You'll enjoy the octave up, which the boss doesn't give you.

Boss OC-3 is a pretty good and famous octaver pedal. It should give you a nice sound. You should be able to get a more "bass like" sound with it...
