Hello guys!
I've noted that many students here are really focused and working hard on their diary routines, guitar plans and workouts. I've also noted an important progress on most of the students that are following my mentoring program, courses and workouts, so congrats everybody for your hard work! The idea of this thread is to spread this motivation and inspire more GMCers to join the different practice threads. That's why I'd like to invite you to share here a recent recording that you've done and that makes you feel proud. Don't be shy and share your improvisations, lessons, covers or original ideas here. It's in your hands to inspire other students! -------------------- My lessons

This is one of my favourites because people, including my great mentor Gab were left feeling a sense of loss which is exactly what I wanted listeners to feel. It was inspired by the picture below and is called "BB has Left the Building". The playing was meant to sound weary and a bit of a struggle. You have to listen to it all to get the full feeling

damn dude! that was killer really nice note choices and great vibe to it. Im assuming your amp couldnt handle the raw emotion at the end and simply exploded Thanks Scott, I appreciate your kind comments. This has had quite a few good comments, Gab said THIS and I was over the moon that such a skilled musician said something like that about one of my pieces. He also said the following in a private message: "Hi Phil, it was shocking! What I felt is, this guy left us playing guitar, it's an awesome metaphor of him playing until the last second. It's an awesome metaphor of a musician leaving us... It was totally unexpected to when I got it, it let me thinking.. and I felt a bit sad but also happy... It's tricky to explain the feeling, and even more in English! Gab." Cheers dude This post has been edited by Phil66: Sep 17 2015, 10:53 PM -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. hard to choose one cause everyday i do a better take than the previous one, and i'am also proud to learn so much new stuffs, tricks and how to. i'll choose one Laurent This is an inspiring post Laurent. I also think that you are progressing from take to take and that's what happening to most of the students here, but if you remember a specific take that had some extra magic, share it here! Thanks Scott, I appreciate your kind comments. I've got this feeling again while listening man! This composition is epic. Thanks again Gab, You don't know how much it means to me that someone of your calibre likes this piece. Cheers Nice playing Scott, I think a realistic target for most of us is club level covers band rather than guitar god or even guitar hero. I wonder what score in the REC zone equates to club level covers band? Keep it up Scott mate, nice one This post has been edited by Phil66: Sep 18 2015, 09:23 PM -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Good take Bleez! I think that this solo is ready for playing the the covers club! Everything you play sounds good, on pitch and at tempo. I don't know the original solos but this sounds really good.

Thanks for your kind comments Chris, your piece is brilliant, the bends are beautiful, lovely work mate.
Laurent, your piece is hard to listen to because of lots of crackles, it does sound nice though. -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Here's another one I like, it's more atmospheric but I enjoyed doing this one. Inspired by the picture below. All sounds from PRS SE Studio 24 7 string though some Boss software that came with a control surface.

hi bleez, it`s a Traditional from 2014..... Sound with Pod HD500X.... Nice a similar setup to myself at the moment. Very good patch you have there, got a nice Gary Moore vibe to it. Cheers buddy You wouldn't believe how hard it was for me to post anything when I first joined GMC as I really lacked confidence and feared ridicule but now I don't worry
