Your favorite bands: Metallica, Red, Shinedown, Papa Roach. When do you think that your video will be ready? The video is ready, and here it is, sorry it was so late, had some problems with the sound If the quality is to bad, i can upload another video later in hd https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZQtVqjIWr8...eature=youtu.be This post has been edited by BjarturN: Jul 8 2014, 09:19 PM |

Hi friend! The video quality is perfect for this purpose. At first let me show you the link that you have to copy here to insert the video correctly like this:
As I comment at the chat-room, this lesson is great because it combines many techniques in a simple way. I can notice that you have more problems with the most advanced ones: fast alternate picking, sweep picking & tapping, but there are also some work to do with bending, vibrato and legato. When the advanced techniques appear, you also have timing issues, and this is surely because the technique demands more attention and you can't think on timing. I have two ideas for one that can be our next steps, if you agree. 1) Isolate the tricky sections of this lesson and work on them. This means that you take that AP lick at 0:22, the pull offs at 00:32, the sweep a 00:41 and the tapping at 00:45 and practice them as isolated exercises over metronome or a drum loop. 2) The second part of the plan is to create a guitar routine to improve your overall guitar technique. This first week, the routine will include: - Alternate Picking https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-Workout-2/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...picking-thirds/ - Bending https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...String-Bending/ - Legato https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Land-Of-Legato/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/hammer..._for_beginners/ Please let me know what you think! -------------------- My lessons

i dont think its that bad. i am an apprentice at a worskhop and ii was using a drill, and it got stuck, so the whole drill started turning while i was holding it :/ but i get my cast of friday, so hopefully i can play like nothing happened Ah ok! I hope that this solves on friday and you can get back to practice. Please keep me updated and let me know if you want to use this time to other activities like music theory, song analysis and ear training. -------------------- My lessons

Well, I assume that you would like to be able to compose music in a genre close to the bands that you cited as influences. For this, it's very helpful to know some basic theory. I think that you should at least cover these topics:
Intervals Triads (major, minor, diminished) Chords (major, minor, 5th, diminished, 9th) Scales (Pentatonic Minor, Minor, Major, Phrygian, Harmonic minor) Tonalities based on the scales learnt. Those are the basic things that you should know in order to understand most of the compositions of your favorite bands. Let's start with the first step: INTERVALS Let me know when it's done! -------------------- My lessons
