Hello everyone,
Ok, I've just built a new PC, I've installed Win7 64bit as I had on my old system, and I am using Chrome, as I did on my old system. For some reason, when I click on an MP3 link in the forum it now prompts me to save whereas it used to play the file in a new tab. Any ideas? -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Hello and thanks,
I didnt install anything else along with chrome, I just installed it the same way I always have. I think i installed it from the mobo driver disc, but you know what it's like, you install so much you get lost maybe I should download from the chrome site I can't even get RealPlayer to install for some reason. If I remember correctly, I think installing Quick Time would help as it has an extension which allows mp3 file to be played right in the browser.

This has happened again, I have reinstalled/repaired quicktime but it's still doing it.
Any ideas? Thanks Phil -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.” Israelmore Ayivor |

This has happened again, I have reinstalled/repaired quicktime but it's still doing it. Any ideas? Thanks Phil Hi Phil, maybe try reinstalling the web browser or looking into extensions/plugins installed and their settings. My guess would be that something is wrong and quick time plugin is not working for some reason or being connected with the browser. Might also be worth doing full quicktime uninstall and then installing again. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Thanks Bogdan,
I have just uninstalled both Chrome and Quicktime, it is still the same, when I click on an MP3 link in GMC I only get an option to download. It used to just open up a new tab and play. I'll have to use Firefox. Thanks Phil -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. It's suddenly started working fine and I've done nothing Great to hear that Phil! Maybe restarting the computer after all that re-installing did the trick. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

I don't think so really because it's been restarted every day since my last post

Ok, no here is a really odd thing, maybe this will throw some light on the problem.
I haven't made this connection before but, when my DAW is open and I click on a sound file I only get the option to download the file, if I close the DAW the file plays in a new tab. Any ideas anyone? Thanks -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight.
